YYC Sub Ultra Trail Run
The event takes place on August 30, 2026 at Nose Hill Park, Edgemont Parking Lot (corner of Shaganappi Trail and Edgemont Blvd). Multiple distances are offered, plus a non-timed kids run.
Distances:
- 34 km : 2 laps of 17 km, elevation gain 994 m
- 17 km : 1 lap, elevation gain 497 m
- 6.8 km : 1 lap, elevation gain 77 m
- 2 km kids : out-and-back, elevation gain 77 m
Included for 34 km, 17 km and 6.8 km participants: a swag item, racer bib and pins, complimentary race photos, on-course medical and safety support, an expertly designed and well-marked course, and official chip timing by Startline Timing. The event features a finisher arch, music and a race announcer, and a dairy-free sticky bun after the race. All athletes will receive Naak gels and waffles.
Aid stations and porto potties are located around 8.5 km and 25.5 km on the 34 km route, with water and items such as F2C Glycodurance (mango), gummies, cookies and pretzels. The kids 2 km event is untimed; a free finisher's medal is available if registered before August 22, 2026.
