YYC Sub Ultra Trail Run

The event is scheduled for August 30, 2026 at Nose Hill Park, Edgemont Parking Lot, at the corner of Shaganappi Trail and Edgemont Blvd. Multiple trail distances are offered, plus a kids event.

Distances:

• 34 km, two laps of 17 km, 994 m elevation
• 17 km, one lap, 497 m elevation
• 6.8 km, one lap, 77 m elevation
• 2 km kids out-and-back, 77 m elevation

For the 34 km, 17 km and 6.8 km events participants receive a swag item, a racer bib with pins, complimentary race photos, on course medical and safety support, a well-marked course, and official chip timing by Startline Timing. The finish area includes a finisher arch, music and a race announcer, and a dairy-free sticky bun from Kashew Bakery. Aid stations on the 17 km and 34 km routes are located near the Calgary Winter Club at about 8.5 km, with additional stations around 17 km and 25.5 km on the 34 km course. Aid items include water, F2C Glycodurance mango, gummies, Oreo cookies, pretzels and more. Finisher medals and t-shirts are available for purchase, and the top three men and women in each distance will receive a limited edition local pottery piece.

The 2 km kids event is untimed, includes a swag item, bib, photos, medical support and a sticky bun. A free kids finisher medal is available for registrations made before August 22, 2026. Entry fees vary by registration period and a 10% age discount is applied automatically for ages 55 and up. Refund, rollover and transfer policies are stated by the organizer.
