Loop style obstacle race in Drayton Valley on July 4, 2026 offering competitive, team and long distance Savage and Barbaric options, plus open heats where participants can complete up to three loops without penalties.

Two hour in-person survival-style obstacle event for adults, children and k9 at Bud Miller All Seasons Park on July 4, 2026. Courses use varied terrain and obstacles are not revealed in advance.

Trail event in Taber, AB with 25K, 12.5K and 6K options. The course runs through coulees and along the river valley. Registration for 2026 is open and closes June 30.

Sinister 7 Ultra in Crowsnest Pass Alberta runs July 11-12 2026. Events range from a half marathon to a seven stage 100 mile course across Rocky Mountain trails with transition areas, aid stations and time limits.

Relentless24 is a 24 hour trail endurance run at the Canmore Nordic Centre with solo and team entries, pacers allowed late in the event, and fundraising tied to an Ever Active goal.

A loop-format event on July 17, 2026 where runners complete a 6.706 km circuit each hour until one remains, starting and finishing at Ed Eggerer Athletic Park with basic aid and access to Genesis Place.

Sole Survivor Trail Race on July 18, 2026 features 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km forest trail courses at Pete's Park in Blairmore. Aid stations vary by distance and strollers and pets are not permitted.

Union All Terrain at Hidden Valley Ski Resort on July 18, 2026 features competitive timed heats with age group podium awards followed by family fun heats, on a course of varied obstacles for different experience levels.

On July 19, 2026 at Hidden Valley Ski Resort in Elkwater AB, enjoy trail runs of 5 km and 10 km and an approximately 10 km mountain bike race through Cypress Hills Provincial Park with medals and age group awards.

Trail races at Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary on singletrack with punchy climbs, fast descents and Bow River and skyline views. Distances include 1 km, 3 km, 7.4 km and 11.7 km.

A limited field mountain running event at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge featuring a 21.1 km half marathon and a 10 km paved course, with a Zero‑Trace policy and partnership supporting Kananaskis conservation.

Trail races at Gold Bar Park along the North Saskatchewan River featuring hard pack, technical singletrack and a notable climb. Multiple distances from 1 km to 12.9 km, aid stations, cup free format and on site swag and medals.

Moose Is Loose is a trail event in Edmonton with 21 km and 10 km run and walk options. Registration includes chip timing, a finishers medal, a Coolnet UV half buff and a post event meal.

August 2026

A mountain trail event in Grande Cache offering 118 km, 42 km and relay options, with three summits and a river crossing at Hell's Gate. Significant elevation gain and aid stations are provided along the route.

Iron Legs Mountain Races features multiple trail distances from 25 km to 100 km, plus a 50 mile relay and a Racing Dusk event. Registration is open and the organizer has held events since 2009.

A Spartan Race weekend at Heritage Ranch on the banks of the Red Deer River with Sprint, Super, Beast, a kids race and a four hour Hurricane Heat. The ranch offers on site dining and guided horseback rides.

A two day Spartan Trifecta weekend at Heritage Ranch in Red Deer with Sprint, Super, Beast and Kids races along trails by the Red Deer River. The Beast is part of the Canada National Series and the ranch offers on-site amenities.

Urban trail event from Gold Bar Park with three scenic loops and multiple distances; proceeds support men’s mental health awareness and the HeadsUpGuys online resource.

Trail races at Chickakoo Lake Recreation Area near Edmonton feature wooded singletrack, sustained climbs and ridge views. Distances range from kids races to sport and enduro loops, with on course aid and wooden finisher items.

An alpine 200 mile ultramarathon in August 2026 near Castle Mountain Resort Alberta. The event offers solo and relay options plus a new 100k course, requires satellite inReach trackers and limits entry to 100 runners.
