CRR Fish Creek X/C Race - Fish Creek Provincial Park

The CRR Fish Creek X/C Race takes place on Saturday, March 7, 2026. It is the 10th and final event of the 2025 to 2026 Grand Prix Series.

Held in Fish Creek Provincial Park, the course runs through wooded trails, open meadows and steep hills. Participants can expect snow, ice, mud, water crossings and uneven footing. Spikes or cleats are recommended.

Distances offered:

  • Kids' Fun Run - 0.5-1 km, mostly flat
  • 4 km - one loop with hills and technical sections
  • 8 km - two loops or an extended route into the park

Organizers request online pre-registration; entry fees are paid on site in cash inside the church. Fees: General $12, CRR members $8, full-time students $6, children 12 and under free.

Parking is at the Hull's Wood parking lot in Fish Creek Provincial Park. Directions: follow Bow Bottom Trail south toward Sikome Lake; Hull's Wood is 400 m north of Sikome Lake. Park only in designated lots; speed limit in the park is 30 kph.

A post-race social is held at the Deer Run Community Centre with hot soup, rolls and beverages. Participants are asked to bring their own bowl, mug and spoon to reduce waste. Races typically proceed if temperatures are warmer than -20 °C; the final decision rests with the race director. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
