Hill of a Race
Hill of a Race takes place on the groomed slopes of Rabbit Hill Snow Resort in the Edmonton area. Runners, walkers and other snow runners will follow a marked loop that goes up, down and around the ski slopes; no skiers or snowboarders will be on the hill during the event.
Extra traction under running shoes may be required for travel on groomed snow. Walking poles are permitted. Participation requires reading and agreeing to the event race waiver before taking part.
Distances offered
- All Day Buffet (6 hours): as many laps as possible on approx. 2.5 km course
- A la Carte (10 km): four laps of the approx. 2.5 km course
- The Snack (5 km): two laps of the approx. 2.5 km course
On-course support includes aid station nourishment. All racers receive a voucher redeemable for a one-day lift ticket for the 2027/2028 ski season at Rabbit Hill and handcrafted medals for finishers. The event is organized by the River's Edge Running Series and raises funds for Olive Tree Projects, which operates a maternity centre in Jacmel, Haiti.
The organizer’s refund policy offers either refunds or race deferrals depending on how far in advance a cancellation occurs; Race Roster administration fees may apply.
