The Moose Mountain Trail Races take place on August 22, 2026, at the West Bragg Creek Provincial Recreation Area near Bragg Creek, Alberta. The event is hosted by Lewiston Ultra Events and uses trail systems within the Kananaskis Country park system. The course starts and finishes at the West Bragg Creek day-use area and moves from rolling prairie into foothills with largely forested single and double-track trails and Moose Mountain as a backdrop.

Elevation and course notes: the 16 km has 460 m ascent/descent and is about 75% single track. The 29 km has 1,220 m ascent/descent and mixes single and double track. The 42 km has 1,620 m ascent/descent with mixed trail types. The 50 km has 2,351 m ascent/descent and mixed trail types. Aid stations are located at listed kilometre points for each distance (for example 8 km on the 16 km course; multiple aid points on longer distances). The event enforces course cutoffs at key aid locations; runners who miss cutoffs may be assisted off the mountain, redirected to a shorter distance, or recorded as DNF.

Registration and rules: entry is CAD 145 plus GST and platform fees. Participants must be 18 years or older. There are no refunds and no waitlist. Bib transfers are permitted between distances except that a 50 km entry is required to race the 50 km distance. Registration closes on August 10, 2026, or when the race fills.
