The Moose Mountain Trail Races, hosted by Lewiston Ultra Events, is Alberta’s oldest sanctioned trail race held in the scenic Kananaskis Country park system. This iconic event offers four mountain trail distances: 16KM, 29KM, 42KM, and 50KM, starting and finishing at West Bragg Creek recreational area. The course features a mix of single and double-track trails ascending from prairie to foothills, with Moose Mountain’s 8,000-foot peak as a stunning backdrop. With over 150 km of community-built trails, the race combines challenging elevation gains with a rich history dating back to 1992.
