Bowmont Park trail race

The event is the third race in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series and takes place at Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary. The course is singletrack-focused with rolling hills, several steep climbs and fast descents. Runners pass Sideshow Bob trail, Dale Hodges Park, trails along the Bow River, and Silverthorn Park, with views of the Bow River valley and the city skyline. The start and finish are at Varsity Village Park next to Christine Meikle School. Packet pick up is available at Strides, Canyon Meadows and onsite at Varsity Village Park.

Race distances and maps are subject to change based on trail conditions. The event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Washroom facilities are available at the start/finish area. Restrictions on course: no dogs, no headphones, no strollers or baby joggers, and no hiking poles except in non-competitive hiking categories. Parking is limited. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers by gender in each age and distance category and to the top three overall; awards must be picked up at the race.
