5 Peaks - Bowmont Park

This event uses the singletrack trails of Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary and includes punchy climbs, fast descents, and multiple viewpoints over the Bow River valley and the city skyline. The route uses established local trails and passes through Dale Hodges Park and Silverthorn Park.

The start and finish are at Varsity Village Park next to Christine Meikle school. Runners begin with a traverse west along the Sideshow Bob trail built into the side of a cliff, then drop into Dale Hodges Park, head briefly east on singletrack, loop west through the park, and connect to trails running parallel to the Bow River. Sport runners return from Silverthorn Park while Enduro runners follow an additional loop to the east before joining the same final stretch. Expect rolling hills, several steep climbs, and descents; heat can be a factor.
