5 Peaks Trail Running at Bowmont Park, Calgary (third event in the series)

The race takes place on the trails of Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary, overlooking the Bow River and river valley. The route focuses on singletrack with punchy climbs, fast descents and many rolling sections. The course passes along named areas including Sideshow Bob, Dale Hodges Park and Silverthorn Park.

The start is at Varsity Village Park next to Christine Meikle School. Sport and Enduro routes share the same final stretch; Enduro runners complete an additional loop farther east before rejoining the final section. Official distances and maps may change based on trail conditions.

Logistics and safety information: the event is cup-free; water and electrolyte drink are provided at the start/finish and at one or more aid stations. Participants expected to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for fluids and nutrition. Dogs, headphones, strollers and baby joggers are not allowed on course; hiking poles are permitted only in non-competitive hiking categories.
