5 Peaks at Bowmont Park

This is the third event in the 5 Peaks Trail Running Series, held at Bowmont Park in northwest Calgary. The route focuses on singletrack and passes sections with views of the Bow River valley and the city skyline.

The course starts at Varsity Village Park next to Christine Meikle school and begins with a westward traverse along the Sideshow Bob trail built into the side of a cliff. The route drops into Dale Hodges Park, follows a short singletrack east, loops west through the park, then connects to trails running parallel to the Bow River. Sport distance participants begin their return at Silverthorn Park. Enduro participants complete an additional loop further east before joining the same final stretch. Expect rolling hills, a few steep climbs, fast descents and potential heat.
