5 Peaks - Weaselhead Flats

This event takes place in the Weaselhead Flats Natural Area in southwest Calgary, a 237 hectare park with wildlife, plantlife, hard pack trails and singletrack. The race is scheduled on the last weekend of September and highlights autumn colors in the park.

Organizers list several distances and provide maps with elevation and aid station locations. Distances may change based on trail conditions up to race day.

The event is cup free. Water and an electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour are asked to carry a receptacle for liquids and nutrition.

Onsite facilities include washrooms at the start and finish area. Parking is available in the Weaselhead Flats parking lot and on street. Spectators are welcome. Awards include medals for the top three finishers in each gender and age category per distance and the top three male and female finishers overall.
