5 Peaks Weaselhead Flats

This event is the fifth and final race of the Central Alberta 5 Peaks Trail Running Series, held the last weekend of September at Weaselhead Flats in southwest Calgary. The venue is a 237 hectare natural area with wildlife, plant life, hard packed surfaces and singletrack trails. The course highlights autumn colours.

Multiple distances are offered and maps provide elevation profiles, gain and loss, and aid station locations. Race distances and maps may change based on trail conditions up to race day.

  • 7.6 km Sport Run or Hike
  • 14.0 km Enduro Run or Hike

Maps and aid station details are provided to participants. The event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start and finish and at one or more aid stations on course. Participants planning to be out longer than an hour should carry a receptacle for liquids and nutrition.

Toilet facilities are available at the start and finish area. There is ample parking in the Weaselhead Flats lot and on street. Spectators are welcome. The following are not allowed on the race course: dogs, headphones, strollers or baby joggers, and nordic walking poles. Swag and finisher medals are not included in individual registration fees and must be purchased and collected at the event. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each gender and age category per distance and to the top three male and female overall; awards must be picked up at the race. Trail runs nearby

Trail running at Sikome Lake in Fish Creek Provincial Park with distances from 1 km kids events to an 11.6 km enduro. Trails include paved, hard-packed and single track; cup-free event with water and aid stations on course.

A fitness adventure at North Glenmore Park that places adults, kids and k9s on a military style obstacle course. The event focuses on varied terrain and unrevealed obstacles and lasts about two hours.

Mega Bounce Calgary is an all-inflatable 5k obstacle course on June 20, 2026 at North Glenmore Park in Calgary. Participants receive a headband or buff and a finisher's medal; youth 13 and under must be accompanied and be at least 42 inches..

A Kananaskis trail event featuring a 42.2 km mountain marathon and a half marathon option on singletrack. Aid stations, mandatory safety gear and finisher medals with podium prizes for each distance.
