CRR Nose Hill X/C Race : 2026 edition

The Nose Hill X/C is part of the 2025 to 2026 Grand Prix Series. The 2026 edition is the 41st running of the race, counting a virtual year in 2021. The start and finish are near the Nose Hill Park Viewpoint lot, west of 14th Street NW, with the North Haven Community Association about a ten-minute walk from the race site.

Distances include:

  • 0.5 km kids fun run on pathway and dirt trail
  • 4 km course with long climbs and fast descents
  • 8 km course with long climbs and fast descents

Terrain includes hills, grass, dirt, snow, ice, and mud; spikes or cleats are recommended. Organizers request online pre-registration; entry fees are collected on site in cash. Published entry fees are: General Entry $12, CRR Members $8, Full-Time Students $6, Children 12 and under free.

Primary parking is at the North Haven Community Association; a small lot near the start/finish is available but fills quickly. Volunteers are needed for setup, timing, marshalling, results, and kitchen help. A post-race social takes place at the North Haven Community Association with hot soup, rolls, and beverages; participants are asked to bring their own bowl, mug, and spoon to reduce waste.

Races typically proceed if temperatures are warmer than -20°C; the final decision rests with the Race Director. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
