CRR River Park Classic X/C Race
The River Park Classic X/C is the second event in the 2026-2027 Calgary Roadrunners cross-country Grand Prix. The series includes ten events: nine individual races held in various parks across the City of Calgary and the Town of Okotoks, and one three-leg relay race at Confederation Park. This event takes place on Sunday, October 3, 2026, at the Sandy Beach picnic area.

- Short kids run on a groomed grass and pathway course
The race start is adjacent to the Sandy Beach picnic area. Access is from Crowchild Trail by turning east onto 50th Ave to the park entrance at 14A St. SW, then down to the parking lot beside the Elbow River.
Online pre-registration is preferred; payments are accepted in cash or by check at the event, with volunteers collecting payments and checking the pre-registration list. Entry fees are: $12 general, $8 Calgary Roadrunners members, $6 full-time students, and free for the kids race. A parent or guardian must digitally sign an online waiver for each child entered.
The event may be followed by an outdoor barbecue. Organizers ask for desserts and reusable tableware to help reduce waste. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
