The Wild Rose Women's Sub Ultra is a one-lap trail race of 17 km held at Nose Hill Park with an elevation gain of about 497 m. The course is described as a single, well-marked loop designed for trail running.

Participant inclusions listed by the organizer are a YYC Sub Ultra swag item (for example a hat, water bottle, or socks), a Wild Rose Women's Sub Ultra racer bib and pins, complimentary race photos, on-course medical and safety support, a finisher arch with music and a race announcer, and a dairy-free sticky bun from Kashew Bakery. Official chip timing is provided by Startline Timing. Finisher medals and event tanks are available for purchase. Top finishers on the 17 km receive podium awards made by a local potter.

An aid station and portable toilet are located at approximately 8.5 km near the Calgary Winter Club; offered items include water, F2C Glycodurance (mango), gummies, Oreo cookies, pretzels, and additional snacks.
