Racing Dusk

Calgary, Canada • 20 Dec 2025

Racing Dusk is a unique 20-mile trail running event held near the winter solstice at West Bragg Creek, Calgary, Alberta. Organized by Iron Legs Running Company, the race features three counterclockwise loops that start and finish at the same location. Participants can choose the order in which they run the loops, adding a strategic element to the race.

Options include running the loop with the least elevation gain first, tackling the longest loop initially, or facing the biggest climb early on. The race has an 8-hour time limit, accommodating variable winter conditions such as cold temperatures, snow, or mild weather. The event challenges runners to manage their pace as daylight fades, truly embodying the spirit of racing dusk.

Relay options for two or three-person teams are also available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
