Racing Dusk

Racing Dusk is a 20 miles trail race held near the winter solstice with all loops starting and finishing at West Bragg Creek. The course is made up of three loops. All loops must be run counter clockwise and runners may choose the order in which they run the loops.

The event has an overall time limit of eight hours. The last loop must be started by 2:30pm and a headlamp is required if the last loop is started after 1pm. GPX files for each loop are available in the Misc Race Info tab. Loop names and routes are specified by the organizer.

Mandatory gear that must be carried at all times includes mitts or gloves, the race bib, a minimum of 1 litre of water, a toque, an additional warm layer, and a space blanket or bivy bag. Fees listed are 105 $ plus GST and registration fee, rising to 120 $ plus GST and registration fee after 19 October 2025. The organizer noted that registration is closed.

If a participant cancels prior to 20 October 2025 a 50% refund may be issued. If the race is cancelled by the organizer for reasons such as weather, smoke, fire or permit issues, any refund will depend on timing and expenses already incurred.
