Racing Dusk (20 Miler)

Racing Dusk is a 20-mile trail race organized by Iron Legs Running Company, held near the winter solstice at West Bragg Creek on 19 December 2026. The event consists of three loops that all start and finish at West Bragg Creek. All loops are run counter-clockwise and runners may complete the loops in any order they choose.

Loop sections include Telephone Loop, Disconnect, Long Distance, Ranger Summit, Strange Brew, Boundary Ridge, Whitetail, Braggin Rights and Merlin View. GPX files for each loop are available in the Misc Race Info tab. An overall time limit of 8 hours applies to the race.

Race registration is noted as closed. The listed entry fee was 105 $ plus GST and registration fee, increasing to 120 $ plus GST after 19 October 2025; registering by 20 October 2025 ensured a shirt and correct size. Race package pickup was scheduled for the morning of the event.

Mandatory gear to be carried at all times includes mitts or gloves, race bib, a minimum of 1 litre of water, a toque, an additional warm layer, and a space blanket or bivy bag. A headlamp is required if the last loop is started late. The cancellation policy offered a 50% refund for cancellations prior to 20 October 2025; if the event is cancelled by organizers, refunds depend on timing and expenses incurred.
