This 5 Peaks Trail Running event takes place at the Canmore Nordic Centre in Canmore, Alberta, the venue that hosted the nordic and biathlon events at the 1988 Winter Olympics. The course uses singletrack and doubletrack trails and includes varied terrain and elevation gain.

Safety and equipment notes: participants in Sport, Enduro, and Grit are required to carry bear spray. Children in the 1 km and 3 km events are not required to carry bear spray; additional volunteers will carry bear spray on those courses. Dogs, headphones, and strollers are not allowed on the race course. Hiking poles are only permitted in non-competitive hiking categories.

Logistics: packet pick up is available at Strides Canmore and at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Washroom facilities are available at the start and finish area. Parking is in the main or overflow lots and requires a Kananaskis Pass which is not included with registration. Spectators are welcome.

Other race details: the event is cup free; water and electrolyte drink are available at the start, finish, and at one or more aid stations. Participants planning to be on course longer than one hour should carry a receptacle for fluids and nutrition. Swag and finisher medals are not included with individual registration, must be pre-purchased, and must be picked up at the race; they will not be mailed. Awards are presented to the top three finishers by gender in each age category for each distance, and to the top three male and female finishers overall. Trail races at the Canmore Nordic Centre with distances from 1 km up to 22 km. The venue offers singletrack and double track, bear spray is required for longer distances, parking is limited and finisher medals are optional.

Canmore Revolver on June 27, 2026 is a five hour AMLAP event on a 6 km loop at the Canmore Nordic Centre. Runners compete solo or in teams of two or three and a post race gathering offers poutine and CR*FT non alcoholic beverages.

Relentless24 is a 24 hour endurance run at the Canmore Nordic Centre on July 11, 2026. Solo runners and teams of various sizes use single track and double track trails with mountain views and pacer options.

Two paved races in Kananaskis Country on July 25 and 26, 2026 at the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. Field is limited to 500 participants per day and a Zero Trace protocol asks athletes to carry their own hydration vessel.
