Trail Running calendar near Swanage 2026-2027

The Imber Ultra is an annual trail run of just over 33 miles organised by Avon Valley Runners and the Rotary Club of Westbury, with route details, checkpoints, results and photos provided by the organisers.

A coastal mixed terrain event at Milford on Sea with an out and back 5.3 km lap. Runners pick their distance from 5K to ultra with aid stations, toilets, and a medal for anyone completing at least one lap.

Trail races from Larmer Tree Gardens take runners around the Rushmore Estate with distances from a fun mile to a marathon. Courses pass chalk valleys and woodlands and include multiple feed stations and event medals.

A measured *10 km* charity run in Weymouth organised by MCC Promotions. The mostly flat road course runs from Bowleaze Green toward Pleasure Pier and includes on day registration, race facilities and prizes.

A coastal trail run from Swanage seafront to Corfe Castle with 21k, 16.5k and 10.5k options plus a vintage train return.

A 24 hour endurance format at Alice Holt Forest where runners repeat a 6.7 km loop each hour, finishing laps within 60 minutes. Wooden medals are given to finishers and a wooden trophy is awarded to the overall champion.

A volunteer organised spring trail race around Seaton with a near 20 mile coastal and inland course plus a 9 mile Cub option. The weekend includes junior races, wooden finisher medals and steps to reduce single use waste.

A supported 50 km, 29 km or 10 km loop event from Bath Racecourse with rest stops, GPS route tracking and options for walkers, joggers and runners.

The Way of the Dead (a Dartmoor Traverse East to West) will take place in Devon on Saturday 20 March 2027. You can run 50 kilometers.

Point to point trail races on the South Downs Way offering a 50 mile ultra, a 50 km ultra and a marathon with marked routes, aid stations, coach transfers and an option to plant a tree instead of taking a medal.

A trail running event at Stansted Park near Portsmouth offering three waymarked distances through woodland, open fields and past the historic Stansted House. Entries include chip timing, a metal finisher medal and on-course refreshments.

Trail races around Escot Park offer a single-lap 10K (about 10.5 km) and a two-lap half marathon, both off-road with climbs and mud; canicross categories are available and medals are awarded to all finishers.

Trail running at Matterley Basin on 20 March 2027 with three route choices through South Downs chalk downland, woodland and ridgelines; marked courses, hydration outposts and free parking.

A guided trail half marathon around the Surrey Hills, about 13 miles from St Martha's Hill in Guildford, following parts of the North Downs Way and notable viewpoints. The run is social in format with a guided pace and evening options.

Coastal 5 km and 10 km races in Exmouth starting and finishing at Sideshore, with mixed terrain, beach and cliff sections, finishers medal options, and funds raised for the Sideshore Project.

Challenge event with 20 mile and 30 mile routes across Dorset downland and river valleys, starting from Cerne Abbas Village Hall on 21 March 2027.

Bowie themed trail event at Hurn Forest offering distances from 5K to ultramarathon with aid stations, bag drop and a Bowie inspired medal for finishers.

Three consecutive long distance days along the Jurassic Coast from Charmouth to Shell Bay. Daily support includes checkpoints with food and drinks, transport from HQ, GPS tracking, medical cover and a bespoke finisher medal.

A 40 mile coastal ultra from Abbotsbury to Lulworth Cove along the South West Coast path, featuring rugged terrain, checkpoints every 10 to 20 km, compulsory safety kit and GPS tracking; ITRA and UTMB recognised.
