Space Oddity

Space Oddity is a themed trail event held at Hurn Forest, based at the Hospital Services Cricket Club. The route is an out and back on the main forest track with hardstanding, well maintained surfaces; trail shoes are recommended but not essential.

Participants can choose their distance on the day. All finishers who complete one lap or more receive a Bowie inspired medal. An aid station called RunDMC at the start and finish of each lap provides savoury and sweet refreshments and basic drinks. Bag drop and facilities are available at the cricket club clubhouse adjacent to the start and finish. Toilets are available at the cricket club.

The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under in line with UK Athletics rules. Twenty percent of entry costs will be donated to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance.

Number pick up is on the day at race registration before the event. Plastic cups are not provided. Final instructions and race day information will be sent to participants in advance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
