Epic Endurance Jurassic Coast Challenge
Isle of Portland, United Kingdom • 26-28 Mar 2027
Jurassic Coast Challenge
The Jurassic Coast Challenge is a three day event held 26, 27 and 28 March 2027. Participants cover a marathon distance each day on self-navigation routes that follow the coastal footpath from just outside Charmouth eastwards, finishing on Day 3 at the National Trust Shell Bay Car Park, Studland. The route includes the full circumnavigation of Portland.
The event is based at the Event HQ at Portland Masonic Hall, which acts as meeting point, catering area, reception, massage and first aid. Each morning participants are transported from the HQ to the daily start and returned to the HQ after completion. Checkpoints are located at roughly 10 km intervals; checkpoint staff log times and provide on-course food and drink, with hot drinks at checkpoint 2 and 3. A bowl of hot homemade soup and a bread roll is provided at each day’s finish. Event medics and on-course support are available, and a minibuses service can collect retired participants.
Entry includes a GPS tracker supplied by Geo Tracks, an event branded t-shirt, on-course food and drink, bespoke finisher medal, free parking at the HQ, medical cover, transport between HQ and starts, and an event information pack. Entry prices are listed per day or for all three days. The organiser enforces a mandatory kit policy; required items include a navigation device, waterproofs, warm layers sealed in waterproof bags, hat and gloves, emergency food, torch and spare batteries, at least 400 ml water, a high visibility item, and a reusable folding cup.
