Jurassic Express Trail Run (Swanage)
The Jurassic Express Trail Run begins on the Swanage seafront and finishes beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle. The route passes coastal landmarks including Old Harry Rocks and Studland and uses firm chalk paths and sandy tracks that provide generally good footing.
The event offers three route distances and varied elevation across the South Coast trails. After finishing at Corfe Castle participants may board a private vintage steam train back to Swanage; train tickets are available for purchase for a fee and spectators can buy tickets separately.
Entries include chip timing, a finisher's medal, a finisher's goodie and a personalised certificate. First aid cover, on-course refreshments and marshals are provided, and the course is signed using pink arrows and pink tape. The event is plastic free at water stations so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
