Jurassic Express Trail Run (Swanage)
The Jurassic Express Trail Run starts on Swanage seafront and follows coastal trails on the Jurassic Coast. The route passes landmarks such as Old Harry Rocks, Studland and finishes beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle. Trails are mainly firm chalk paths and sandy tracks, offering varied footing and coastal views.
Distances offered include:
- 21.0 km Half Marathon, 473 m elevation gain
- 16.5 km Trail, 399 m elevation gain
- 10.5 km Trail, 273 m elevation gain
After the finish at Corfe Castle there is a private vintage train back to Swanage. Train tickets cost £9 per person and can be purchased when booking; spectators may also buy tickets on the day or via the event shop.
Entries include chip timing, a metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, a personalised certificate, first aid cover, on-course refreshments and marshals. The course will be signed with pink arrows and pink tape and hazards will be marked with caution signs. The event operates a plastic free policy so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle.
