Jurassic Express Trail Run : Swanage to Corfe Castle
The Jurassic Express Trail Run is a coastal trail event that starts on Swanage seafront and finishes beneath the ruins of Corfe Castle. The route runs past coastal landmarks including Old Harry Rocks and Studland, using firm chalk paths and sandy tracks.
There are three route options:
- 21k (Half Marathon)
- 16.5k Trail Run
- 10.5k Trail Run
Each distance includes chip timing, a high quality finisher medal, a finisher goodie and drink, a personalised certificate, first aid cover, on-course refreshments, and marshals. The course signage uses pink arrows and pink tape and hazards and road junctions are marked with caution signs. Dogs are not allowed at the event. Spectators are welcome.
A private vintage train is available to carry participants back to Swanage after the finish; train tickets cost £9 and can be purchased when booking or via the event shop or on the day. The event location is Swanage Beachfront, Shore Road, Swanage BH19 1LB. The organisers advise participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle for water stations and to collect bib numbers at registration on arrival.
