Event overview

The Jurassic Express Trail Run is a trail event on Saturday 14 March 2026 that starts on Swanage seafront and finishes at the ruins of Corfe Castle. The route passes coastal and castle landmarks including Old Harry Rocks and Studland. Trails are mainly hard-packed chalk and sand. After finishing at Corfe Castle, participants can board a private steam train back to Swanage; train tickets are available for purchase. Spectators are welcome. Dogs are not allowed at the event.

GPX files are available for each distance. The course is signed with pink arrows and pink tape, and hazards or road junctions are marked with "Caution" signs. The organiser provides first aid, water stations, chip timing, bibs, encouraging marshals, a finisher medal, finisher goodies, and a personalised certificate. There is no on-site parking; public car parks are nearby. Bibs are posted to entrants, and any train wristband purchased is included in the same package.
