Event overview

Intergalactic is a trail running event held in Hurn Forest, starting from Hospital Services Cricket Club in St Leonards, Ringwood. The course is an out-and-back route that follows the main forest track. Participants may choose distances across a range from 5K to ultra-marathon. Laps measure 5.3 km / 3.28 miles each. All finishers who complete one lap or more receive a medal. Trail shoes are recommended but not required because the track is hardstanding and well maintained. Organizers donate 20% of entry fees to Forestry England for forest and trail maintenance. Distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under, in line with UK Athletics rules.

Facilities and logistics

Number pick-up is on the day at race registration. An aid and drinks station is located at the start/finish of each lap, offering a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is an area to leave personal items during the event. Organizers do not provide plastic cups. Toilets are available at the cricket club. Parking near the start is limited; a public car park is available on Boundary Lane (0.4 miles from the start). Morebus serves the area with a nearby stop at St. Leonard's Hospital.
