Intergalactic

Intergalactic is a themed trail event held at Hurn Forest and centred on an out-and-back lap of the main forest track. The course is a 5.3 km / 3.28 mile lap on hardstanding, well maintained forest track; trail shoes are recommended but not essential. Participants may choose how many laps to run, with distance options ranging from a short 5K up to ultra-marathon distances. All finishers who complete one lap or more receive a themed metal medal.

The event carries a Beastie Boys and space theme. On-course features include a themed aid station called Run DMC offering space-inspired savoury and sweet snacks, a themed playlist, and a small area at the start for participants to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups. Race number pickup happens on the day at registration. Toilets are available at the cricket club.

Twenty percent of entry fees are donated to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance. Intergalactic can also be entered as part of the series The Imperial March together with the Space Oddity event; a combined entry option and discount are available. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; distance restrictions apply for participants aged 20 or under.
