Event Overview

Intergalactic is a trail running event that takes place in Hurn Forest. Participants choose their own distance, from 5K to ultra-marathon, by completing laps of a 5.3 km (3.28 mile) out-and-back course on the main forest track. The track is described as hardstanding and well-maintained.

Event Details

The event offers a flexible start window, and participants must finish within a maximum allotted time. Race number collection happens on-site before starting. An aid station at the start/finish of each lap provides a selection of savoury and sweet snacks and drinks; participants are asked to bring their own cup. A secure area is available for runners to leave personal items.

A portion of the entry fee is donated to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association (TRA) and run under UK Athletics rules, which include distance restrictions for participants aged 20 or under.
