Event overview

Intergalactic is a trail running event held at Hurn Forest, with a scheduled date of 28 March 2026. Participants may choose their own distance, from 5K up to ultra-marathon distances. Entry fees are listed between £37.50 and £39.50. The event is open to entrants aged 18 and over on the event date; distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under under UK Athletics rules. Twenty percent of entry costs will go to Forestry England.

Course and competition

Laps follow a 5.3 km / 3.28 mile out-and-back route on the main forest track. The track is described as hardstanding and well maintained; trail shoes are recommended but not essential. All finishers who complete one lap or more will receive a medal. Participants are given a maximum of seven hours to complete their chosen distance.

Facilities and logistics

Number pick-up is on the day at race registration before starting. An aid and drinks station is provided at the start/finish of each lap, offering a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is an area to leave personal items. Organisers do not provide plastic cups. Toilets are available at the cricket club. Parking near the start is limited; a public car park is available on Boundary Lane about 0.4 miles away. Public bus and rail options are listed for the area.
