The Brave 5km & 10km, Exmouth
The Brave is a coastal running event in Exmouth that offers two distance options: 5 km and 10 km. Both courses use mixed terrain and include seafront running, cliff paths, sandy beach sections, the marina, and coastal trails. The start and finish are at Sideshore, which also serves as Race HQ.
The 5 km route features beach sections and seafront running with coastal views. The 10 km route includes additional cliff and coastal sections and covers more varied terrain.
Participants can select a bespoke wooden finisher medal or a reduced-price no medal entry. A portion of each entry fee is donated to the Sideshore Project, a community programme focused on sea swimming and water safety education, environmental awareness, and creative arts. The project supports children and young people across Devon. A limited number of charity places are available for entrants who pledge to raise a minimum of £100 for the Sideshore Project.
Race day includes community activities such as an optional litter pick run in partnership with Plastic Free Exmouth. Trophies are awarded to the first three overall male and female finishers and there are age category prizes where applicable. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
