The Dartmoor Crossing / Great Escape is a pair of trail races with event centre and finish at Ivybridge Rugby Club, PL21 0LR, on 1 August 2026. The Crossing is a 33.5-mile trail race across open moorland that visits Belstone, Postbridge and finishes in Ivybridge, and includes two Dartmoor 600 m summits, 1,119 m of ascent and 1,516 m of descent. The Great Escape covers the final 15.5 miles of The Crossing, starting from Princetown and passing the head of the Erme Valley and Abbots Way before descending into Ivybridge. Both courses are fully marked and marshalled. The Crossing has two fully stocked aid stations plus two remote water stops; the Great Escape has two water stops. Time limits are 9.5 hours for The Crossing and 4.5 hours for The Great Escape. Minimum ages are 20 for The Crossing and 17 for The Great Escape. All finishers receive a bespoke medal.
