The Dartmoor Crossing / Great Escape is set for Saturday 1 August 2026 at Ivybridge Rugby Club, PL21 0LR. The event is organised by OuterEdge Events. Entries run from 29 August 2025 to 29 July 2026 and are processed through the SiEntries system. The Ivybridge Rugby Club serves as the event centre and finish location. Camping is available on site at £20 per pitch per night, with food and drink available from lunchtime on race day and bar service; departure is midday on the Sunday. Bespoke finishers' medals are provided and event t-shirts are available for purchase via the SiEntries system. A coach transfer from Ivybridge to the start is offered at £15.

Races

The event comprises two trail races across Dartmoor moorland with marked and marshalled courses.

The Crossing is a 33.5-mile baby ultra that starts at Belstone, visits Postbridge and finishes at Ivybridge. The route crosses open moorland and two Dartmoor 600 m summits, and includes 1,119 m of ascent and 1,516 m of descent. The course has 2 fully stocked aid stations and 2 remote water-stops. Time limit is 9.5 hours. Minimum age is 20 years on race day.

The Great Escape covers the last section of The Crossing, starting from Princetown and finishing at Ivybridge. The 15.5-mile route crosses the head of the Erme Valley, traverses the Erme canyons and follows Abbots Way before the descent into Ivybridge. The course has 2 water stops. Time limit is 4.5 hours.
