The Dartmoor Crossing / Great Escape

The event comprises two trail races across Dartmoor with the event centre and finish at Ivybridge Rugby Club, Cross-In-Hand, Filham, Ivybridge PL21 0LR. Courses are fully marked and marshalled and finishers receive a bespoke medal. Event t-shirts are available to purchase via the SiEntries system.

The Crossing is a 33.5 miles route that starts from Belstone and visits Postbridge before finishing at Ivybridge. The course crosses open moorland and two of the Dartmoor 600 m summits. It includes 1,119 m of ascent and 1,516 m of descent. Support comprises two fully stocked aid stations and two remote water stops. The Crossing has a time limit of 9.5 hours and a minimum age of 20 years. A coach transfer from Ivybridge to the start is available for £15.

The Great Escape covers the final 15.5 miles of The Crossing and starts from Princetown. The route crosses the head of the Erme Valley, traverses the Erme canyons and follows sections of the Abbots Way before descending to Ivybridge. Support on this route is limited to two water stops due to remoteness. The Great Escape has a time limit of 4.5 hours and a minimum age of 17 years. A coach transfer from Ivybridge to the start is available for £15.
