The Dartmoor Summer Series Maprun 2025 at South Hessary is the fourth of five technical orienteering events held on Dartmoor's open moorland. Designed for experienced orienteers, the courses navigate a challenging terrain featuring pits, rocks, gullies, and outcrops, requiring advanced navigation skills. Participants use the MapRun 7 smartphone app to record their progress, eliminating the need for physical flags. Three courses are offered: Orange (3.6 km, 145m climb), Green (3.6 km, 125m climb), and Blue (6.6 km, 210m climb), none suitable for novices.
