The Dartmoor Summer Series Maprun 2025 Golden Dagger is the third event in a five-race league held on Dartmoor's open moorland, known for its technical and challenging terrain. Designed for experienced orienteers, the courses navigate a mixed runability area featuring numerous pits, rocks, gullies, and outcrops, requiring advanced navigation skills. Participants use the MapRun 7 smartphone app to complete the event without traditional flags. Three courses are offered: Orange (2.9 km, 110m climb), Green (3.9 km, 170m climb), and Blue (5.4 km, 210m climb), none suitable for novices. Entry fees are £6 for seniors and £4 for juniors.
