Exeter Trail Races
Exeter Trail Races are off-road running events held around the grounds of Escot Park in Ottery St Mary, Devon. The programme offers a half marathon and a 10K, and canicross categories are available for both distances.
- Half marathon, two laps of the same course, approx 340 m elevation
- 10K, single lap of about 10.5 km, approx 170 m elevation
The route is entirely off-road with some short steep climbs and usually a few muddy sections. The half marathon uses two laps of the 10K circuit to reach the listed elevation, while the 10K is a single lap that is slightly over standard distance.
Race entry includes professional RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled routes, and medals for all finishers or an equivalent charity donation for those who do not take a medal. The event offers podium prizes and category awards, water and feed stations, event facilities and toilets, professional first aid, event caterers, free parking and public liability insurance. Event photography is available; social media resolution images include the organiser logo and higher resolution downloads are offered for an additional charge.
Canicross categories allow competitors to run with a dog and follow the same marked routes as the human-only races. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
