About the race
The Exeter Trail Races take place on trails around Escot Park near Ottery St. Mary in Devon. The course is fully off-road and includes some short, steep climbs and often muddy sections. Timing is by RFID chip and all finishers receive a medal or can opt for a charity donation instead of a medal.
Distances offered:
- Half marathon - two laps, about 340 m elevation, minimum age 16 on race day.
- 10K - one lap, approx 170 m elevation and around 10.5 km distance, minimum age 15 on race day.
- Canicross - dog-friendly categories available for both distances; half marathon canicross minimum age 16, 10K canicross minimum age 16.
Prizes are awarded to category winners with a one-prize-per-person policy; podium and veteran categories are specified for the races. Event services include professional first aid, public liability insurance, event catering, free parking, professional photographs (social-resolution images with event logo included; high-resolution downloads available for an extra charge), and chip timing. Route maps and a race manual are provided for participants. The organisers note the event has run at Escot previously and returns for another edition at this venue.
