Exeter Trail Races

The Exeter Trail Races take place around the grounds of Escot Park (Escot House, Ottery St. Mary, Devon). The courses are fully off-road and include short climbs and, often, muddy sections.

Distances and options:

  • Half marathon: two laps; elevation approx 340 m.
  • 10K: single lap; slightly over distance at about 10.5 km; elevation approx 170 m.
  • Canicross: categories available for both distances (run with a dog).

Age minimums are stated for each race. The event provides medals for all finishers, RFID chip timing, and prizes for category winners. Event photography is provided; hi-res downloads are available for an additional charge. Other event services include food and drink caterers, free parking, public liability insurance, and professional first aid.

Podium and category awards are specified, including top three men and women in the 10K, veteran age-group prizes, and a first team of three in the 10K. Canicross prizes include first man and dog and first woman and dog. A one prize per person policy applies and the top three overall are excluded from category results.
