Cockington Christmas Caper
The Cockington Christmas Caper is a 10k trail race held at Cockington Country Park near Torquay on Sunday 6 December 2026. The route follows winding trails through the park and includes hills, countryside views and the likelihood of muddy sections. The course will be marshalled, signed and taped, and there is one water stop on route. Organisers state a 2hr 15 minute cut off for the event.
Finishers receive a bespoke metal medal and a choice of Christmas Cake, Mince Pie or Yule Log at the finish. Trail shoes are mandatory for all participants.
Entry fees are listed as £23 for affiliated runners and £25 for unaffiliated runners. Runners must be over 16 to enter. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers and for age groups MV40, FV40, MV50, FV50, MV60, FV60, MV70 and FV70. Team awards are available for Men’s Team (3 men), Women’s Team (3 women) and Mixed Team (2 men and 2 women).
The event is part of the Winter Trail Series. Upon signup an optional Refund Protect Insurance may be offered by the entry system provider Race Nation; this insurance option is provided by Race Nation and is not managed or received by the event organiser.
