Trail Running calendar near Sandridge 2026-2027

A 21.2 km trail half marathon across the National Trust’s Dunstable Downs with 450 m of elevation, marked navigation and two aid stations. The route passes Tree Cathedral, Kensworth Quarry and Five Knoles and is limited to 250 runners.

Volunteer organised trail races on Horsell Common with family friendly distances from a 2 km kids race to a 21 km option. Proceeds support local charities and the event emphasises minimal environmental impact.

A 10 km trail run and 10 km canicross around Tusmore Estate, finishing at Twisted Tree Brewery with a medal, a pint cup and a free drink included.

A last person standing backyard ultra near Alfriston where runners repeat hourly laps of at least 4.167 miles until only one can start another lap. Limited field, token checks each loop, basic aid station and barn facilities.

A seasonal trail running series at Cowdray Estate featuring 5km, 10km and 10 mile races across spring, summer, autumn and a winter night run, with a dedicated kids series and a summer event that includes a BBQ and bar.
