Richmond Park Half Marathon and Marathon

The event offers two trail running distances held entirely within Richmond Park on 23 August 2026. The race HQ, start and finish area is located at Sheen Gate Car Park Area (TW10 5HT). The organiser is 1 Mile 2 Go Events.

The route initially heads toward Richmond Gate and back to Sheen Gate, then follows paths through the centre of the park up to the White House, with views toward the park lakes and areas where wildlife may be seen. Runners continue down to Robin Hood Gate and join the Tamsin Trail that runs around the inner walls of the Royal Park. The route climbs Broomfield Hill, which is the location of a drinks station, and proceeds toward Kingston Gate through wooded sections. There is another drinks and feed station at Ham Gate.

From Ham Gate the course runs out to Petersham Gate, returns to Ham Gate and follows the main track beside Queens Road where runners cross and rejoin the private road through the park centre. That central section is described as flat and fast before reaching the White House and returning to Sheen Gate for the half marathon finish.

  • Marathon full marathon distance
