Wendover Woods Trail Half Marathon, 10k & 5k

The event takes place at Wendover Woods on the edge of the Chiltern Hills within the Forestry England landscape. Routes cover 325 hectares of steeply undulating woodland and follow mature forest tracks and gravel paths, with 181 m of total elevation gain.

Distances offered include:

  • Half Marathon - out-and-back plus four laps
  • 10k - two laps
  • 5k - one lap
  • Junior race - separate short course

Each kilometre is clearly signposted and friendly marshals provide course guidance. The finish area includes a celebratory atmosphere and an event village with a range of food and drink options. Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results, and post race goodies.

The location provides woodland views and a natural trail surface that rewards steady pacing and careful footing. The site also offers family activities such as the Gruffalo trail and Go Ape, making the event part of a broader day out in the woods.

An event t-shirt is available at over 30% off when purchased as part of the entry. The organiser operates a team of marshals and partner services to support on-course safety and event logistics. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
