Event overview

This is a timed running challenge with a flexible start time between 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Participants have seven hours to run as many laps as they wish. The minimum distance to be an official finisher is 3 km.

Course and location

The route is along the River Thames. The path is well-made and mainly tarmac, with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable. The course is fully signed, requiring no navigational experience.

Distances

The standard full lap is approximately 4.37 miles or 7 km, but this is subject to change. Distances are achieved by completing laps:

  • Half Marathon: 3 laps
  • Marathon: 6 laps
  • Ultra Marathon: 7 laps or more
  • 50 km distance is also available.

There are designated turn points for 3 km and 5 km distances to accommodate younger runners.

Facilities and inclusions

All finishers receive a themed medal and a goody bag, with a vegan option available. An aid station at the start/finish area offers a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, and cheese items. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the venue from 8:00 AM. Parking is available at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds, which uses a pay-on-exit system.

Important notes

Participants must collect their race number on the day at registration. Final instructions will be emailed in the week before the event. A bag drop area is provided, but it is not secure.
