SATURN - Midweek Chasing Numbers Aug 2026

This is a 7 hour timed running event held in Egham along a stretch of the River Thames. The course is fully signed and mainly on well made paths and tarmac with a very short grass section. Road shoes are suitable all year round. Course layout may be adjusted before the event for health and safety or land owner requirements.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal and a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag option available. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon distance and above, including Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, 50km and Ultra pins. An aid table and drinks table are provided at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.

  • Full lap 7 km or 4.37 miles (subject to change)
  • 3 laps equals a half marathon
  • 6 laps equals a marathon
  • 7 or more laps qualifies as an ultra; 50 km option available

Practical details: toilets and changing facilities are available at the race HQ which includes a cafe. There is a large pay on exit car park at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds near the start. A bag area is provided but is unmanned. Headphones are allowed. Maximum entrants 300. Minimum age 12 years. Runners over 45 km must be 20 years or older; 18 and 19 year olds may run up to 45 km. Trail races of Half Marathon, 10K and 5K run from Marlow Rugby Union Football Club on 28 June 2026, using marked off road routes through the Thames Valley countryside with marshals, chip timing and race photos.

A June 28th trail event at 3 Brewers Brewery in Hertfordshire offering 5 km and 10 km multi terrain laps, mostly off road, with a medal, pint cup and free drink for finishers plus live jazz and charity fundraising.

A Half Marathon at Box Hill Fort (Tadworth) on 28 June 2026 with more than 3000 feet of ascent and descent. The route runs mainly on rough tracks and offers views over the North Downs, the Mole Gap, Denbies Vineyard and Dorking.

A 5.3 miles off-road trail race around Ashridge Woods on 28 June 2026, organised by Aldbury Sports Club with National Trust permission. Water and finish refreshments are provided and entry fees differ for affiliated and non affiliated runne..
