Sussex Stride 2026 : event summary
Sussex Stride 2026 is a Long Distance Walkers Association challenge event held in East Sussex within the South Downs National Park. The event is organised by the Sussex local group and is listed as a challenge event in the Southern England region.
The route is a circular walk of about 52+ miles with a 22 hour time limit. It starts and finishes at Plumpton Agricultural College near Lewes, BN7 3AE, and visits Offham, Lewes, Glynde, Firle, Alfriston, Jevington, East Dean, Litlington, Rodmell and Housedean Farm. The route includes approximately 7,000 feet of ascent and crosses a variety of South Downs countryside.
This event forms part of the Kent, Sussex & Surrey Triple challenge and is a qualifier for the LDWA 2027 100 event. Entries are accepted through Si Entries only. Dogs are not permitted on the walk.
The entry fee is £47 for LDWA members and £57 for non LDWA entrants. The fee includes start refreshments of coffee or tea and breakfast biscuits, refreshments at all control points, a light meal at the midway point and a cooked breakfast meal at the finish.
