Richmond Park Half and Full Marathon : 23 August 2026

The Richmond Park event on 23 August 2026 combines the half marathon and full marathon on a shared course through Richmond Park. Distances offered include:

  • Full 26.2 miles (42.2 km)
  • Half 13.1 miles (21.1 km)

The route starts at Sheen Gate and follows a mixture of grass paths, park roads and the Tamsin Trail. Runners head toward Richmond Gate, rejoin the Tamsin Trail and pass through areas including Dutchess Wood, Spankers Hill Wood, Robin Hood Gate and Broomfield Hill, where water and runners food are supplied. The course continues via Ladderstile Gate, Dark Hill and a crossing at Kingston Gate, then follows the Tamsin Trail past Ham Gate and around fields beside Ham Gate Pond. A turnaround at Petersham Gate returns runners along the Tamsin Trail to Ham Gate before using the Horse Trail and a private park road past Lawn Plantation and White Lodge back to Sheen Gate to complete a half marathon lap.

The event is UK Athletics affiliated. Entrants receive a medal, a mug and a buff and finishers are provided with additional food and snacks. Organisers note that runners who had registered for the May or September races but cannot attend 23 August 2026 will be offered a refund; queries should be directed to the event organiser.
