The event starts on the grounds of Lancing College. The 5K and 10K routes go towards Lancing Ring. The Marathon and 50K routes go towards Cissbury, Chanctonbury, and Steyning. All courses showcase landscapes of the South Downs and use a mix of trail, pathway, and town footpaths. The terrain is described as pathway and very light trail, including the Downs Link, riverside footpaths, and South Downs trails.
