Trail Running calendar near Poole 2026-2027

A flexible 7 hour Time Challenge along the River Thames in Staines with distances from 3 km up to 50 km, finisher medals and goody bags. An optional Christmas Dinner at The Last Hop is available for an extra fee.

A free, untimed community run along the canal between Bridgwater and Taunton with 14 and 7.5 mile options. Registration is required and basic medical cover will be available.

Winter X is a mid-winter trail-running event in the Meon Valley offering 10, 30, 50 and 70 km on marked public trails with checkpoints and post-event food. Entries for 2025 are closed; a provisional date for 2026 is 28 December 2026.

A winter cross-country event at Butlers Lands Farm featuring water crossings, Roman Walls, fields and footpaths. Distances are 10K and 10 Mile with entry fees from £32 to £35; finish-line refreshments include mulled wine and mince pies.

A trail 10 km race in Sidmouth on 31 December 2026 following coastal paths and a loop around Mutters Moor, finishing at Connaught Gardens. Age limit 18 plus, trail shoes mandatory, two hour cutoff and medals for all finishers.

An 8-hour timed road event in Exmouth on a measured 5.3 km out and back course along a former train line. Multiple-day challenge options are available; entry closes 26/12/2026 and places are limited to 100.

A trail event at Wenchford Picnic Site with seven hills over seven miles or the double 14-mile Immortal Sinner; forest trails may be muddy or icy and canicross waves are available.

A 10.000 km trail race around Box Hill with steep climbs and scenic views, registration and parking at Denbies Vineyard. The event includes a kids fun run and a ladies race and uses a B Course around Denbies if Box Hill is unavailable.

A winter trail event around Budleigh Salterton visiting Sir Walter Raleigh's birthplace, river valleys and the Jurassic Coast. Two courses of about 13.6 miles and 8.5 miles run on marked, marshalled routes with aid and facilities at the bas..

Trail running at Newlands Corner in Guildford on 9 January 2027, offering 10 km and 15 km options with listed entry fees and multi-race bundles.

A winter trail run from Sparsholt College with two off-road distances around Farley Mount, rolling terrain, on course hydration and finisher medals. The event runs for its sixth year and had over 1,000 participants last year.

Night trail races in Haldon Forest offering 10K, 5K, 2K and 1K distances plus a canicross option. Courses are marked and marshalled with chip timing, finishers medals, event photos and on-site catering.

A gravel trail event in New Forest National Park on 16 January 2027 with three waymarked routes through ancient woodland, variable winter terrain and support outposts, timed results and a finishers' medal.

A January off road 9.6 mile run across trails, fields and woodland with about 80 percent off road terrain. The event uses chip timing, has one water station at Littleton upon Severn and a 2.5 hour expected run time limit.

Trail races at Moors Valley Country Park and Forest feature a half marathon and a 10K on marked woodland routes with chip timing. The event includes aid stations, limited canicross places, event photography and several eco friendly measures..

A 7 to 8 mile cross country run around May Hill in Gloucestershire with steep climbs, muddy trails and an open plain at the summit. A Sunday May Hill Mayhem option adds an extra loop to total 14 to 15 miles.

Trail races at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs near Petersfield with three distances and canicross options. Routes pass Head Down, the South Downs Way and War Down and include chip timing and finisher prizes.

A twilight trail run in Hurn Forest with 5 or 10 mile out and back routes. Torches are required, 20% of entry fees go to Forestry England, and basic on-site facilities include an aid station and toilets.

A two-distance running event by G3 Series on 30 January 2027 at Hound House Road, Surrey, with 15km and 10km options and bundle pricing; start line and car park are in the field off Hound House Road with flags and signs.

A night race at Westonbirt National Arboretum on 6 February 2027, with scenic routes through tree collections and firm trail-like surfaces. Distances include 5 km and 10 km; tickets are currently sold out.
