May Hill Massacre

The May Hill Massacre is a cross-country trail event held on 30 and 31 January 2027 at Leaf Creative, Huntley, Gloucestershire, GL19 3EX. The course features sustained climbs up May Hill, very muddy trails, open plain at the summit and notable countryside scenery. Early entries are open and places are limited.

Distances:

  • Approximately 7–9 miles main cross-country route
  • Approximately 14–15 miles May Hill Mayhem with an extra loop

A canicross race is included as a separate category. For safety there is a cutoff of one hour to reach the water station (about 4 miles); participants outside that cutoff will be returned to the start. For Sunday Mayhem runners there is a cutoff of one hour 45 minutes for the first lap. Race numbers and timing chips are collected from registration on the day. A Welsh trail event offering a 100-mile loop from Abergavenny and a 100 km route from Talgarth to Abergavenny, both following Offa’s Dyke, Cambrian Way and Beacons Way across mountain terrain.

A 10 km trail run at Symonds Yat in the Forest of Dean with undulating terrain and views of the River Wye. The final 1 km includes a large climb to the finish. Coffee and hot food are available at the start and finish.

A multi-distance trail event in the Cotswolds on 10th May 2026, featuring quarter, half, marathon and Ultra 40 routes across trails, towpaths and commons with marked routes, checkpoints and on-course water.

A roughly 5 mile single lap trail through Stowell Park and the Coln Valley near Chedworth Roman Villa. The multi terrain course includes footpaths, fields and a river crossing and has a 2 hour 30 minute finishing limit.
