Event Overview

The May Hill Massacre is a tough cross-country run around May Hill in Gloucestershire. The main race covers a distance of 7-8 miles and features steep climbs, muddy trails, scenic views, and an open plain at the summit.

Race Details

A separate, longer event called May Hill Mayhem is also available. This runs on the Sunday and involves an extra loop, totaling 14-15 miles.

Registration opens from 8.30 AM. The canicross race starts at 10:00 AM, with the runners' start following at 10:10 AM. For the longer Mayhem event, runners begin at 9:15 AM.

A strict cutoff time is enforced for safety. Runners must reach the water station (approximately 4 miles into the course) within 1 hour. Those outside this time will be transported back to the start.

For the Sunday Mayhem event, the cutoff to complete the first lap is 1 hour 45 minutes.

Venue and Facilities

The event is based at Leaf Creative in Huntley, Gloucestershire (GL19 3EX). Toilets are available on-site, but there are no showers. Participants collect their race number and timing chip at registration.
