Winter X is a trail-running event on Sunday 28 December 2025 at The Meon Hall, Meonstoke (Pound Ln, Southampton SO32 3NP). Entries are open from 24 August 2025 to 22 December 2025; there were 67 participants registered at the time shown. The event is organised by Chalk & Mud Trail Running and is licensed by the TRA (permit no. 6993 pending) and held under UKA rules.

Course, services and rules

The full course is made of four out-and-back legs from Meonstoke, using public trails and some short road sections. Parts of the route follow the South Downs Way. Runners have access to a central checkpoint at Meon Hall for their own kit and additional checkpoints at Holden Farm, the Sustainability Centre and Wickham. The course will be marked and an up-to-date GPX file will be available before the event.

Provided services include marshal support, chip timing, an event t-shirt, fully stocked checkpoints, post-event food and a memento. Dogs are not permitted on the route. Minimum ages: 16+ for 10km, 18+ for 30km, 20+ for 50km and 70km.
