Riverbank Rollick takes place on 18 January 2026 and is organised by Thornbury Running Club. The course is 9.6 miles long and is approximately 80% off-road, using trails, bridle paths, fields and woodland, including a stream crossing and a section along a riverbank. A metal finisher medal is awarded, and the 2026 medal links with medals from two other Thornbury Running Club events if a participant completes all three races. There are individual prizes across 16 major categories and a prize for the man and woman with the fastest cumulative time across the three-event series. ARC permit number is to be confirmed.

Logistics and rules

Entries are available only through the event platform Full on Sport; there are no on-the-day entries. Entry opens on 08 September 2025 and closes on 13 January 2026; listed fees are £20 for affiliated club runners and £22 for unaffiliated club runners. Minimum age is 18 years. The event uses mass start gun to chip timing. Organisers expect an approximate run time limit of 2.5 hours and will review progress at the Littleton water station (approximately 5.8 miles / 9 km from the start); runners may be asked to withdraw for marshal safety and event clear-up. Race HQ is at Castle School Sports Hall, Park Road, Thornbury, BS35 1HT, with parking on a first-come basis. Race number collection and refreshments are provided in the sports hall, and runners are escorted on a 10–15 minute walk to the start. Join the inaugural Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash for a festive family friendly 5 km trail run at Woodchester, with costumes and a post race cafe. Dress as Santa or an elf to support local charity Allsorts; dogs on short leashes welcome.
