Riverbank Rollick 2026 : event overview

The Riverbank Rollick, organised by Thornbury Running Club, takes place on 18 January 2026. The course is 9.6 miles long and about 80% off-road. The route uses trails and bridle paths, crosses fields, goes through woodland and a stream, and runs along a riverbank. Held in January, course conditions often include mud. All finishers receive a bespoke buff and a metal medal for 2026; the three medals from the club's 2026 race series link together. There are individual prizes across 16 major categories and an overall prize for the woman and man with the cumulative fastest absolute time across the three-event series.

Logistics and entry

Entries are only available through Full on Sport; there are no on-the-day entries. Minimum age is 18 years. The event uses mass start gun to chip timing and holds ARC permit number ARC/26/0072. Organisers expect a maximum run time of 2.5 hours (about 15.5 minutes per mile) and will review progress at the water station in Littleton-upon-Severn; participants asked to withdraw will be driven back to Race HQ. There is one water station at Littleton-upon-Severn, approximately 5.8 miles (9 km) from the start. Race HQ is Castle School Sports Hall, Park Road, Bristol BS35 1HT.
