Riverbank Rollick 2026

The Riverbank Rollick is a trail race of approximately 9.6 miles held in January. About 80% of the course is off-road and includes trails, bridle paths, fields, woodland, a stream crossing and a riverside section. The course often has mud. All finishers receive a metal medal and a bespoke buff. The event is part of the Thornbury Running Club Race Series 2026; completing all three series races produces linking medals, and there is a prize for the man and woman with the fastest cumulative time across the three events.

Entry and race information

Entries are only available through Full on Sport and there are no on-the-day entries; the event is sold out and there is no waiting list. Transfers and refunds are being processed until 14 January. Minimum age is 18 years. The event uses mass-start gun-to-chip timing and holds an ARC permit (ARC/26/0072). Organisers expect an approximate run time of 2.5 hours and will review progress at the Littleton water station, about 5.8 miles (9 km) from the start; participants may be asked to withdraw for safety and logistical reasons and will be returned to Race HQ if withdrawn. Race HQ is at Castle School Sports Hall, Park Road, Thornbury, BS35 1HT; parking at the school is first come, first served and there is a short signposted walk from the school to the start.
