The Wye Valley Tunnel Run takes place on Sunday 19 July 2026 at Wyedean School, Sedbury, Chepstow. The event offers multiple distances and a Colourbust fun run.

Course, facilities and race details

Routes are predominantly on the old railway line and riverside paths. Surfaces include compact stone path, tarmac and some forest trail. The Tidenham Tunnel is over 1 km long; specific routes include 2 km of tunnel running on some distances and 4 km on longer options. The Valley View 10 km is one lap and largely flat. Tintern Station routes include short rocky trail sections and some steps. The marathon has a 3 hour cut off to start the second lap.

Courses are marked and marshalled. Drink and feed provision includes one drinks station on the 6 km, at least one feast station on the 10 km, three on the half marathon and seven on the marathon, with water, electrolyte and a mix of foods including gluten free, dairy free and vegan options; flat cola is provided on marathon lap 2. Facilities at the venue include toilets, a mobile coffee van, bag drop and paid on-site parking (£2 per car). The 10 km and Valley View half are suitable for running buggies; canicross is not permitted. All runners of 5 km and longer distances receive a 10 cm x 10 cm double-sided event medal.
