Ross River 10K is a new event held from Ross on Wye along the banks of the River Wye. The route is an off road course of 10 km that follows riverside paths and offers runners views of local scenery and wildlife, with sightings reported such as otters and kingfisher.

The event is described as beginner friendly and organisers state that all abilities are welcome. Facilities close to the start and finish include cafes, a pub and other places to eat. Toilets and car parking are available nearby, with some providers offering free parking on Sunday.

Entry is online with a fee of £14.99 payable by PayPal. The minimum age for participants is 15. A bespoke medal is awarded to all finishers.

A fell race at Cwm, Ebbw Vale covering 9.3 km with 549 m of climb. Partially waymarked, the route includes an anticlockwise loop around Y Domen Fawr and is part of the South Wales Series.
