Purdown Pursuit
Purdown Pursuit is a trail running race organised by Town and Country Harriers (TACH) in Stapleton, Bristol. The event follows a roughly 10 km route around Stoke Park with a course that will be fully marked and supported by marshals. The race headquarters is a gazebo on the green in front of Countess Walk, BS16 1EU, where race numbers and timing chips are issued.
The route includes steep climbs, hard ground, tree roots and rocks, so appropriate trail shoes and care when running are advised. A GPX file for the route is available from Outdooractive, but the final race-day route is subject to confirmation. Water carriage is recommended because conditions may be warm.
Entry details recorded for the event include an age minimum of 18 and tiered entry fees for affiliated and unaffiliated runners. The organiser donates 50 percent of proceeds to a local charity. The entry list for this edition is closed and no new entries can be made.
Category and eligibility rules follow England Athletics guidance. The event offers Open and Female prize categories, veteran prizes by age group, and spot prizes. Guide runners may register and receive free entry but are not eligible for prizes. Event rules cover earbuds at marshalled road crossings, course adherence, pregnancy refunds, and other safety and eligibility matters. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
