Queen Elizabeth Country Park Trail Run (QECP)
The event is held at Queen Elizabeth Country Park on the South Downs near Petersfield in Hampshire. Routes start and finish in the park and follow well maintained off-road trails, tree-lined paths and gravel tracks that offer changing terrain and open views.
Runners leave the park via ancient woodland at Head Down, reach the South Downs Way and return to the park via the local trail called the Milky Way. Within the park the routes combine to explore War Down, which features weatherproof, tree-lined gravel tracks.
Distances offered include:
- 21.6k Half Marathon
- 15.2k Trail Run
- 7.9k Trail Run
Each distance has a canicross option. The event uses chip timing and provides a metal finisher medal, a finisher goodie and a personalised certificate. On-course support includes water stations, on-course refreshments, first aid cover and marshals. The course is signed with pink arrows and pink tape and hazards or road junctions are marked with caution signs.
Practical details recorded for the event include paid parking at £3 per car, on-the-day bib collection using a QR code, a plastic free policy that asks participants to bring a reusable cup or bottle, and a one-dog-per-runner guideline.
