Event Overview

The Surrey Slog takes place in the Surrey Hills, with the race headquarters and start line located at the Duke of Kent School near Peaslake. This cross-country event is held under an Association of Running Clubs (ARC) permit and is open to any runner aged 17 or over on the day of the race.

Course Details

The route consists of a hilly and undulating multi-loop course primarily on tracks around Holmbury Hill. Because the route crosses itself at various points, the course is marked with signs and arrows and is supported by marshals at crucial locations. Participants have access to drinks at six points along the route as well as at the finish line.

The event offers two distance options:

  • Half Marathon
  • 10 Miles (available to choose on the day)

Facilities and Registration

The event provides free car parking at the start and finish area and includes first aid support. All finishers receive a bespoke commemorative medal. Participants who do not enter in advance can register on the day of the event using cash. Final instructions regarding registration and start arrangements are sent via email approximately one week before the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
