Gut Buster : Butlers Lands Farm, Mortimer

Gut Buster is a year-end cross-country event held at Butlers Lands Farm, Mortimer, Reading, Berkshire. The course features water crossings, sections by Roman walls, open fields and footpaths. The final 400 metres can be affected by local farming and crop rotation.

Two distance options are offered:

  • 10K (entry shown in event offers)
  • 10 Mile (entry shown in event offers)

Entry includes a race medal, an iTAB engraved with the participant name and finish time delivered after the event, free race photos, chip timing and access to ample toilets. Organisers provide mulled wine and mince pies at the finish area and plan for additional refreshment options such as a local brewery and massage.

Volunteers support event operations and are noted as necessary to run the races. Dogs are not permitted at this event because of restrictions on transport and requests from local landowners.

Course records are listed for each distance with recorded times and years. The event is scheduled for 28 December 2026 at the stated location. Entry prices in the event information show a range from £32 to £35 depending on distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
