Haldon Night is a series of night trail races at Haldon Forest Park, Bullers Hill, Kennford, Exeter EX6 7XR on 17 January 2026. The event uses single-loop courses for the main races and starts and finishes at a Start/Finish arch. Routes have been adjusted to be just over the official distances and are marked with reflective poles and large A4 arrows (orange on white) fitted with 50 mm orange reflective tape. Head torches or chest torches are required. Parking is available on site but is payable.

Distances and age rules

  • 10K - single loop; minimum age 15.
  • 10K canicross - single loop; minimum age 16.
  • 5K - single loop; usual minimum age 12, but children aged 8 and above may take part if accompanied by an adult.
  • 2K - two laps; for children aged 8-11.
  • 1K - one lap; for children aged 3-7.

Facilities and services

Race entry includes professional RFID chip timing, fully marked and marshalled routes, finishers medals, category prizes and podium awards, water and feed stations, event caterers, toilets, and trained medical cover. There are marshals, free event photos, a hat competition, team prizes, and custom race numbers. Adults may run with children in the kids races at no extra charge.
