Haldon Night

Haldon Night is a series of night trail races held at Haldon Forest, Bullers Hill, Kennford, Exeter EX6 7XR. The event includes marked and marshalled trail courses with a Start/Finish arch. The 10K and 5K use single loops and have been adjusted to measure just over their official distances. Routes are marked with reflective poles and large A4 arrows on white backgrounds with 50 mm orange reflective tape. Head torches or chest torches are required.

Distances offered:

  • 10K single-loop trail, plus 10K canicross
  • 5K single-loop trail
  • 2K two laps for children
  • 1K one lap for young children

Age rules and entries are set by race category: the 10K is for entrants aged 15 and over on race day; 10K canicross requires age 16 and over; the 5K is open to age 12 and over or age 8 and over if accompanied by an adult; the 2K is for ages 8 to 11; the 1K is for ages 3 to 7. Adults may run with children in the kids races at no extra charge.

Event services include professional RFID chip timing, free event photos, medals for finishers, podium prizes including veteran categories for the 10K, water and feed stations, first aid cover, event caterers, toilets and paid parking on site. A timed trail event at Haldon Forest, Devon on Sunday February 1, 2026, offering 2.5K, 5K and 10K options with separate Canicross categories, route maps, water points, personalised bibs and medals for all finishers.

Join Haldon 5K & 10K on Sunday 1 February 2026 at Haldon Forest Park for scenic trail routes of 2.5 km, 5 km and 10 km. All finishers receive medals, there are awards and free race photos, and canicross is welcome with no cut off time.

The Exeter Half Marathon will take place in Exeter on Saturday 7 February 2026.

Tackle 27 km of scenic Sidmouth trails as you navigate four trig points in order, choosing your own route between them. This challenging loop finishes at The Watersports Hub and raises funds for Cardiac Risk in the Young.
