Bell Challenge Day 5 : Exmouth, 01 January 2027

Bell Challenge Day 5 is an 8-hour timed event held at Capel Lane, Exmouth on Friday 01 January 2027. The course is an accurately measured road route, run entirely on tarmac, mainly flat with a few rises. The route follows an out-and-back line on a disused train track.

Each lap is 5.3k out and back. The event operates a "TUGG" (Turn Up Get Going) system that allows participants to start at any point during the event period; all participants must finish by the event cut-off. Walkers and runners may take part, and anyone who completes one or more laps within the permitted time is classed as a finisher and may collect a medal.

Entries are limited to 100 participants. Entries close on 26/12/2026 and the minimum age is 18 years. There are additional related events on 28, 29, 30 and 31 December 2026 and 2 and 3 January 2027, with options offered for 4 in 4 days, 5 in 5 days or 7 in 7 days.

A self navigated 17 mile trail loop around Sidmouth visiting four trig points. The event has a c.914 m climb, requires pre entry and is for adults only, with proceeds donated to Cardiac Risk in the Young.

Take on the Wray Valley Trail in Bovey Tracey with Phoenix Running Devon The Launch. Scenic 5.3 km laps along the River Bovey, flexible start times and a keepsake memento for every finisher. Limited to 50 runners, so book early.

A night trail event near South Brent with two courses, 9 miles across Dartmoor and 5 miles on local roads and paths. The route is marked but a route device is recommended, with catering, live music and a shared sauna after the run.
