Little Dart River Ramble and Run

Little Dart River Ramble and Run
The event is a new, completely off road 15 mile run and walk in North Devon. The route runs from Rackenford to Chulmleigh and follows part of the River Valley Ridge through countryside within the North Devon Biosphere Reserve.
Participants traverse fields, wooded valleys, footpaths, river crossings and flower meadows. Sections of the route cross private land for which permission has been granted, providing access to trails not commonly used. The route will be marked but the path sometimes meanders in and out of sight, so participants should be prepared to navigate uneven and variable terrain.
Included for entrants are a fully marked route, marshals and at least three feed stations, a wooden medal for all runners, first aid, toilets and post event refreshments. Transport is provided to or from the start and attendees have access to the Rivers Festival.
The North Devon Biosphere Reserve is identified as the first UNESCO biosphere in the UK and covers about 3,300 km², integrating sand dunes, grasslands, woodlands, moors, farmland, rivers and coastal areas. The reserve supports multiple conservation and community initiatives that promote sustainable development, biodiversity projects and wellbeing through access to nature.
