Exeter Pretty Muddy 5k

Exeter Pretty Muddy is a 5 km obstacle event at Westpoint, Clyst St. Mary, Exeter, scheduled for Saturday 18 July 2026. The start and finish are on a tarmac path on the showground and the route follows paths and fields around the showground. The course surface is a mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass.

Participants climb, crawl and slide around a series of obstacles. Starts are run in staggered waves every 15 minutes. Marshals are present on course and participants may skip obstacles with marshal assistance. Entry is open to people aged 13 and over.

Facilities available on site include refreshments, toilets and parking. On-site parking and drop-off are provided; queues are likely. Blue Badge parking is available. There are no electric charging points, no cycling facilities or bike racks, and the event is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs are not permitted. The event is not wheelchair accessible due to its format, but sunflower wristbands, trained Event Managers and BSL stage content via QR code are provided to support accessibility.

Travel notes: bus services run from Exeter city centre and Westpoint is a request stop. Exeter St David’s station is about 6 miles from the venue.

A timed off-road challenge from HMP Dartmoor where participants choose a route on public rights of way and aim for the greatest straight-line distance in 6, 12, or 24 hours. All entrants carry GPS trackers and receive a medal.
