Exeter Pretty Muddy 5k

The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held at Westpoint, Clyst St. Mary, Exeter EX5 1DJ on Saturday 17 July 2027. The start and finish are on a tarmac path located on the showground and the route follows paths and fields around the showground.

The course runs on a mix of road, tarmac pathways and grass and includes obstacles where participants climb, crawl and slide through muddy sections. Waves start every 15 minutes to manage numbers on the course. The minimum age to take part is 13 years; separate Pretty Muddy Kids events are available for children aged 12 and under.

Onsite facilities include refreshments, toilets and parking. Blue Badge parking is available approximately 160 m from the event site on hardstanding and a drop off point is provided within Westpoint. There are no electric vehicle charging points, no cycle racks and the event is not wheelchair accessible. The start and finish areas are on grass that is slightly sloped and may become soft or muddy in wet weather. The event is not suitable for pushchairs and dogs are not allowed. Bag drop and showers are not available.

The event lists an earlybird adult price of £11.24 and an earlybird children price of £6.00. A minimum fundraising target of £50.00 is stated. Participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training plans, access to an online community and a Race for Life medal on finishing. A canal-side lap event in Exeter on 8 August 2026 offering laps of a 5.3 km course with distances from 5 km to ultra marathon, a no medal entry option, and a 7 hour limit. Places are limited to 50 runners.
