The Seven Sins Run & Immortal Sinner at Wenchford Picnic Site

The event is a series of trail races based at Wenchford Picnic Site on New Road, Blakeney Straits, between Blakeney (A48) and Parkend GL15 4AW. The main course covers seven named hills—Pride, Greed, Sloth, Lust, Gluttony, Wrath and Envy—spread across undulating forest trails. Course notes warn that the terrain may be muddy and wet with possible ice and snow and that the hills remain a constant feature of the route. A race brief and full details are emailed a week before the race.

Distances and formats:

  • 7 miles with 7 named hills
  • 14 miles with 14 named hills as a double lap

Canicross waves are available for those running with dogs. The Immortal Sinner is the double-lap option, requiring competitors to complete two laps of the seven-hill course. There is a 2 hour cut off at 7 miles; if a participant finishes the first lap after this cut off they will not be permitted to start the second lap. Parking at the site is charged at £2 per car, including Forestry members, and parking space is limited so car sharing is recommended.

The organising group describes itself as a team of running enthusiasts focused on trail events, trail care and volunteer involvement. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
