Christmas Day Cracker Run 2026

An organised running event on 25 December at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event is presented as a seven hour Time Challenge that lets participants choose how far to run within the time limit.

The minimum official distance is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles (7 km) though this may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. A 3 km turn point and a 5 km turn point are provided within the lap to meet UK Athletics age rules. Three laps equal a half marathon, six laps a marathon, and seven or more laps an ultra. A 50 km option is also available. Entries and age eligibility are subject to UK Athletics restrictions.

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. A headtorch is required for the first hour of the event when running in low light.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km are official finishers and receive a Christmas themed medal. Distance pins are awarded to runners who complete a half marathon or longer within the seven hour time limit. All finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available by request. The event also provides a Christmas present from Santa's stocking and a Christmas dinner aid table with roast items, mince pies and a small tipple.

Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ. A bag area is provided but is unmanned. Parking is available in a large pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed. The route uses public footpaths and participants should be considerate of other path users.
