Christmas Day Cracker Run 2026

The event is a seven hour Time Challenge held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on the River Thames in Egham. Participants may run or walk and choose how many laps to complete within the time limit. The course is fully signed and follows a riverside stretch.

Distances and lap details:

  • Minimum distance 3 km.
  • Full lap 7 km (4.37 miles); may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
  • Half marathon requires 3 laps.
  • Marathon requires 6 laps; ultra requires 7 or more laps.
  • A 50 km option is available.

Medals are awarded to anyone who completes at least 3 km. Runners who complete a half marathon or longer within the seven hour limit receive distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available if requested at entry. A small Christmas present is also provided and a Christmas Dinner aid table serves hot food, mince pies and a small tipple.

Practical details include toilets and changing facilities at race HQ, an unmanned bag area at the start finish, and a large pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed. As the route uses public footpaths, runners are asked to be considerate of other path users.

Group runs led by queer folks that prioritize an inclusive space while exploring the trails and unpaved surfaces of north London. Meetings are at the entrance to the turf at Whittington Park and routes are about 6k.

A 100-kilometre anticlockwise loop through the Chiltern Hills, the race follows The Ridgeway and local trails with six checkpoints, marked navigation and open GPS tracking. The event is based in Chesham and limited to 250 runners.

A point to point 50 km ultramarathon from Horsham to Brighton seafront on 9 May 2026, featuring multi terrain trails, four feed stations and a 9.5 hour cut off. Individual and two runner relay entries are offered with team prizes.

Goring Gap Trails offers ultramarathon, half marathon and walking distances near Reading on 9 and 10 May 2026. The TRA licensed event includes affiliated and unaffiliated entry options and on site camping.
