Christmas Day Cracker Run 2026

Saturn Running stages the Christmas Day Cracker Run at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club, Riverside, Egham TW20 0AA. The event is a 7 hour Time Challenge held along a signed stretch of the River Thames that allows participants to choose how many laps to complete. Entry prices vary; a £23 entry price is available only to members, and membership includes guaranteed entry and a mini-me medal pin at events.

A headtorch is required for the first hour of the event when running in low light. The course is fully signed so no navigational experience is required. UK Athletics age restrictions apply to some distances.

Distances offered include:

  • 3 km minimum to be an official finisher.
  • 7 km full lap (about 4.37 miles); course may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
  • Half marathon, marathon, 50 km and ultra options within the 7 hour time limit.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Christmas themed medal. Distance pins are awarded for half-marathon distance and above when completed within the time limit. All finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan goody bag available on request. The event provides a Christmas present from Santa's stocking and a Christmas Dinner aid table with roast potatoes, parsnips, sprouts, roast ham, a nut roast, mince pies and a small tipple.

Toilets and changing facilities are available at race HQ. A bag area next to the start/finish is unmanned and items are left at the participant's own risk. There is a large pay-on-exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed and the course runs on public footpaths, so consideration of other path users is requested.
