Christmas Day Cracker Run 2026

The event takes place at The Last Hop in Staines Upon Thames and is the sixth running of this Christmas Day event. Participants may run or walk a flexible set of distances within a 7 hour Time Challenge format. Members receive a reduced entry price of £10 compared with full price, a guaranteed entry, and a mini me medal pin for each event they attend.

The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames and is fully signed. The minimum recorded distance for an official finish is 3 km. A full lap is listed as 4.37 miles or 7 km and may be changed to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. There are 3 km and 5 km turn points on the lap to allow younger runners to meet UK Athletics distance rules. Typical lap counts are 3 laps for a half marathon, 6 laps for a marathon and 7 or more laps for an ultra. A 50 km option is available.

Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a Christmas themed medal. Distance pins are awarded for half marathon distance and above within the 7 hour limit. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available if requested at entry. The Last Hop offers an optional full Christmas Dinner at £50 per head; dinner places are organised by The Last Hop and refunds for the dinner element apply only if the venue cancels. Toilets are available at the venue but there are no separate changing rooms or showers. There is parking at Bridge Street Car Park TW18 4TP. A non secure bag drop is provided.
