Christmas Day Cracker Run 2026

The event is a seven hour Time Challenge held at Wraysbury Skiff and Punting Club on the River Thames in Egham. Participants may run or walk and choose how many laps to complete within the time limit. The course is fully signed and follows a riverside stretch.

Distances and lap details:

  • Minimum distance 3 km.
  • Full lap 7 km (4.37 miles); may change to a 3.28 mile loop.
  • Half marathon requires 3 laps.
  • Marathon requires 6 laps; ultra requires 7 or more laps.
  • A 50 km option is available.

Medals are awarded to anyone who completes at least 3 km. Runners who complete a half marathon or longer within the seven hour limit receive distance pins to attach to their medal ribbon. Finishers receive a goody bag with a vegan option available if requested at entry. A small Christmas present is also provided and a Christmas Dinner aid table serves hot food, mince pies and a small tipple.

Practical details include toilets and changing facilities at race HQ, an unmanned bag area at the start finish, and a large pay on exit carpark at Runnymede Pleasure Grounds. Headphones are allowed. As the route uses public footpaths, runners are asked to be considerate of other path users.

Entry fees vary between £18 and £35; a reduced £23 member rate is available only to members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
