Knacker Cracker is a trail 10K event held on 1 January 2026. The race distance is exactly 10.000 km and the event is a 10K-only race. There is a children's fun run called the Nipper Knacker and a separate ladies' prize referred to as the Knicker Knacker. Prize-giving is held at the race finish with awards for the top three men and top three ladies.

Course and logistics

The route runs on rough tracks around Box Hill with views over the North Downs, the Mole Gap, Denbies Vineyard and Dorking. Total ascent is 473 m and total descent is 335 m. The race starts at the bottom of Box Hill and finishes at Box Hill Fort at the top; registration and parking are at Denbies Vineyard (London Road, Dorking RH5 6AA). If Box Hill cannot be used, a contingency B course around Denbies (12.5 km) will be used instead. Bags and keys dropped at the start are transported to the finish. Headphones and earphones are not allowed on course. There is a water station at 6 km offering water and sweets. The organisers advise trail shoes for grip and state that spikes or studs are not permitted. Marshals are used for parking, course signalling and finish support; marshals receive refreshments and a free place in a future race. Refunds are not offered. The event is UK Athletics affiliated.
