A festive trail event at Chasewater Country Park offering 10k, 5k and a junior run around the reservoir. Mostly flat compacted trails, prizes including best dressed fancy dress, and funds raised for Shelter.

A timed multi-terrain event at Ferry Meadows with 5.3 km laps on gravel and grass. Runners choose a four or six hour format, complete as many laps as possible, have aid each lap and receive a bespoke finisher medal.

Run the Trail by Torchlight in Llangollen: an 8 km fell race over scenic starlit moor with about 244 m ascent. Bring a head torch and enjoy a lively night race open to runners aged 16 and over.

Moors The Merrier 21 is a scenic yet testing fell race of 21 miles across the South West Pennines from Hebden Bridge Golf Club. Expect moorland vistas, festive fun with a Santa hat and small gift tradition, plus post race hot meal.

Three looped routes around Holmfirth start and finish at Brockholes Village Hall, with options of 11.6, 7.2 and 4.2 mile loops. Entrants may do one or more loops in order and the event includes basic catering and a finish certificate.

Festive trail races at Sherwood Pines near Mansfield include a family 1 mile plus 5km and 10km options with canicross permitted on the longer distances. Live chip timing, medals and seasonal treats are provided to finishers.

A seasonal trail event at Salcey Forest offering 10k, 5k and a 1.2 km junior run on tree lined, mostly flat forest trails. The race raises funds for Shelter and includes a bespoke medal and free photographs.

The Moel Famau Festive 'Piece of String' Race will take place in Bwlch Penbarras on Saturday 19 December 2026. You can run 12 kilometers.
