The Tatton Yule Yomp takes place on 6 December 2026 at Tatton Park, postcode WA16 6AE. The event is a 10K trail race licensed by TRA and run under UKA Athletics rules. Trail shoes are recommended. Results are available immediately via the event timing provider and finishers can receive a text with their result if a mobile number is provided at entry.

Course and facilities

The race is a one-lap course starting at the Knutsford Gate and finishing just outside Egerton Youth Club on Mereheath Lane. The route runs through and around Tatton Park over undulating terrain, including trail, grass, tarmac and gravel. The final 1 km is on a fully closed road back to the finish adjacent to Egerton Youth Club.

Facilities include chip timing, bespoke finisher medals for all finishers, an optional commemorative technical finishers t-shirt, post-race snacks, drinks stations at the halfway point and finish, bag drop and free baggage storage, first aid and toilets. Bike storage is available at Egerton Youth/Football Club. There is free parking in Knutsford town centre on Sundays and the nearest train station is Knutsford, about a 1-mile walk from race headquarters.

Entries and prizes

Entry fees are £26 for club runners and £28 for non-club runners. Entries close when the event limit is reached or at midnight the night before the race; there is no on-the-day entry or official waiting list. Transfers are allowed to another person or to a virtual option up to one month after race day. Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers and to veterans in 5-year age groups from V35 to V85+; veteran prizes are based on chip times and are posted. A prize is also awarded for best fancy dress. A separate Family Fun Run has an entry fee of £7.50 and its proceeds go to the event charity. The Trigger Fell Race is a tough 33 km fell run across Black Hill, Bleaklow and Kinder from Marsden to Edale in the Peak District, climbing 1650 m. Entries are limited and profits go to Woodhead Mountain Rescue Team.
